Your storefront — powered directly by Business Central

Web Store 365 gives you a headless presentation layer with Business Central as the engine, so you manage everything in one place. A flexible attribute system builds your menus, faceted search, and product cards—without tight couplings. The entire order flow and customer emails are handled centrally in BC for full traceability and operational peace of mind. Built on Bootstrap and ready for true cross-channel from day one.

…there is a webshop in Business Central!

What is Web Store 365?

Web Store 365 is your web shop, managed directly from Business Central. In practice, we’ve built PIM functionality into BC, so products, descriptions, images, relationships, and attributes are maintained in one place and stay consistent across the entire customer journey. When you change a property on the Item Card, it’s immediately reflected in the website presentation. This eliminates extra system layers, parallel maintenance, and the classic errors that occur when the catalog takes on a life of its own outside the ERP.

PIM in Business Central

Instead of a separate PIM, we add the presentation needs as fields and attributes in Business Central. This makes it easy to model properties, variants, and relationship data without losing the strong control over pricing, inventory, and approval flows. The result is a catalog process that can be owned by the business and audited by finance—with a single source of truth across channels.

Here you can see our approach in practice: from the Item Card in Business Central to the finished product page on the website, there are no loose ends. In effect, we’ve built a PIM directly into Business Central, so everything that would normally require a separate system—attributes, categories, descriptions, media, related items, and facets—is maintained in one place and flows straight to the frontend. This means that when you update a property or add an image to the item in BC, the change shows up on the product page immediately—with full traceability.

Pricing logic, volume pricing, inventory status, delivery information, and presentation are centrally managed, so data and business processes are 100% under control.

The architecture is deliberately simple. We’ve removed unnecessary layers, reducing the infrastructure to a minimum:

Business Central as the single source of truth, a lightweight headless layer for presentation, and a lean synchronization that handles jobs and events without brittle intermediaries.
The result is a solution that’s elegant to extend—new attributes in BC can be used immediately in navigation, filtering, and product pages, and CMS content pages can be linked directly to your item data without customizations in long chains of integrations.

Elegant architecture, minimal infrastructure

The solution is deliberately simple: Business Central as the single source of truth, a lightweight headless presentation layer, and a lean synchronization without brittle intermediaries. The infrastructure is boiled down to a minimum, making it elegant to extend—new attributes can be used in navigation right away, and campaigns or pricing logic from BC take effect without code changes across long integration chains. This also makes operations and troubleshooting significantly more manageable.

  • Live products, pricing, inventory, and order status—directly from BC
  • Attribute-driven navigation, faceted search, and product pages
  • Partial deliveries & partial capturing via AltaPay (customer emails are sent from BC)
  • Headless architecture, so the frontend can evolve freely without touching the data layer
  • Cross-channel ready: web shop, stores, sales reps—the same master data
  • Quick setup (typically < 1 day) and simple operations in Azure

Even in the very first demo, we show the full path—from the Item Card in Business Central to a finished cart and quick checkout. The catalog, prices, and inventory come live from BC, and the images you maintain there are automatically mirrored to Azure Blob Storage in web-optimized variants, so the site loads quickly—without you having to handle extra image processing. When a customer adds items to the cart, pricing logic, volume discounts, and VAT mirror BC exactly, and delivery options are pulled from your setup so the total is always correct.

The cart is designed to be calm and efficient: quantities can be adjusted inline, coupon codes and vouchers can be redeemed, and the total updates instantly. From there, we take the customer to a quick checkout where we only ask for the necessary information. Payment is authorized via AltaPay, and if your business requires age verification (e.g., wine), MitID authentication can be included as an integrated part of the flow before payment. Once the order is placed, Business Central takes over: the entire order process—including split capture for partial deliveries—is managed centrally, and customer emails/notifications are sent automatically on status changes.

Curabis Cross Channel Basket

The most important thing is that the demo isn’t a “sandbox show,” but a preview of production: the same attributes, prices, and rules you see in the cart and checkout are the ones you maintain in BC. The lean architecture—BC as the source of truth, a lightweight headless layer, and images in Azure Blob Storage—means we can move from the first demo to go-live quickly and safely. At the same time, the foundation is ready to grow: customer club and loyalty, gift cards, store credit, and voucher management all run on the same engine, so the shop and the physical stores share data and logic without extra intermediaries.
